Star Trek: Discovery Renewed for Season 3
Star Trek: Discovery has been renewed for a third season at CBS All Access.
The sci-fi series was created for CBS All Access by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman. It is the sixth live-action series set in the Star Trek universe and the seventh in total.
Series co-producer and writer Michelle Paradise (The Originals, Exes & Ohs) will join Kurtzman as co-showrunner for the third season. Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, James Duff, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers.
Star Trek: Discovery marks the beginning of a wider expansion of the Star Trek franchise by CBS and Kurtzman, including the spin-off web series Star Trek: Short Treks.
Season 2 cast members included: Sonequa Martin-Green, Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Anson Mount, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, Mary Chieffo, and Ethan Peck.
Star Trek: Discovery is filmed at Pinewood Toronto Studios.
